• Walking to the end of the street and back again
“Over the past four years my artistic practice has focused on creating quiet, contemplative images using my surrounds of Australian suburbia while investigating the border between art and everyday life. Inspired by my immediate surroundings as I find them, I enjoy focusing on the miscellaneous, sundry items that find their way into my daily routines. As such, my work documents my life and functions as an indirect kind of self-portraiture while deepening my understanding of the connection between myself, culture and my surrounds. My practice has become multidisciplinary, regularly utilising painting techniques alongside drawing, sculpture and video.”
